wanna win something?

My cousin is doing this for me, so now I am going to pass on my good fortune...or something like that.

Here are the tagging instructions: The first 3 people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll probably take a while because: a. I'm not super creative and it'll probably take me a while to think of something to make; b. I'm taking care of a 14-month-old while I'm on bed rest, so I don't see a lot of productivity until the bed rest is lifted; and c. I'm going to be having another baby in March (although the 4 people who read this blog know that) and I may not have time/energy until she's a month or 2 old. So, is it too long of a time frame if I say I'll have it made by May? Hopefully it won't take that long, but just in case...that's what I'm saying.
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on good couponing strategies. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something unusual.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. OR, since I know there are some people who read my blog who don't have a blog of their own, you can win if you are willing to make something for three random people. The first 3 people to leave a comment telling me they will win it forward get a fabulous homemade gift by me! Oh, and if you have a blog, be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it.

  3. Why are you on bed rest?? Is is pregnancy related or something else?

  4. ugh...yeah. i've been bleeding for the past couple of weeks and they can't figure out why. the baby is fine, my placenta is in the right place, but i'll go from spotting to gushing and then back to spotting in the space of a few hours. so i've been told to take it easy and not pick up caleb anymore. they don't know if it'll last the rest of the pregnancy or end tomorrow. it's pretty annoying.

  5. Firstly, I hope you get better soon!!! I'm worried so I hope you keep us updated. Also lying around all day and not being able to pick up Caleb is probably driving you crazy so I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

Secondly, ho ho I'm not too late!! (I hope)

I give you a year and two months to send me something, if that makes it any easier. I look forward to whatever it is!

I'm not going to repost anything until I'm sure I'm actually the third person, and not like the 4th or 5th or something.

Oh, since you're on bed rest... do you want to join pinterest? I can send you an invite if you're even interested in that sort of thing.

  6. well, you're either the second or third, megan. it depends on if emily wants to do it or not. she's the one i got it from, so i'm not sure if she'd do it again. anyway, you're in! and thanks for your sympathies and whatnot; it does drive me pretty crazy. but yes, i'll keep you updated. i need to call you to settle this whole "facebook message" matter. um...i guess i'll join pinterest. i get pretty bored sometimes.

  7. You have a blog! Cool. I wasn't going to do this gift thing because I don't fully trust myself to get it to people... but maybe I can do it. It's not like it has to be anything big right. So if Emily isn't doing it again, I'll be in :)
Wow, bed rest, that sucks. That must have been scary to start bleeding. Hopefully some down time will help.

  8. I don't think Emily would do it again, so I guess the 3 winners are Megan, Kelly, and Sarah! It doesn't have to be anything big. Honestly, whatever I end up doing probably won't be all that exciting.
And yes, bleeding is no fun. I can't tell if the down time helps or not. At least I'm to the point where I can feel her kicking a few times a day, so that's reassuring. Anywho, bed rest = boring.

  9. I'm a little late on all this. Yeah, I wasn't expecting anything... just wanted to comment.
Holy cow, I hope you feel better soon! That's a little scary. I remember I started bleeding with Danica fairly early on and it was enough to really make me worry, but it stopped after a couple days. And it's hard enough to take it easy and be on bed rest when you don't have any kids! Hopefully it's not too difficult with Caleb.
Also, I have no idea what I'm going to do for my winners. I feel like I want to do something you'd really like, but I don't think I really know what my winners really like. Anywho...

  10. I'm glad you weren't expecting anything since I already gave the spot away. Yeah, early bleeding is more common. I didn't bleed with Caleb really (maybe some spotting for like, a day), but it's been 3 weeks now, and it's the middle of the pregnancy, which is cause for alarm. But at the same time, the doctors tell me that lots of women bleed the whole time and everything turns out fine, so we don't need to be super alarmed. It's weird because I don't feel crampy or sick or anything; I feel totally normal. That makes staying inactive all day even more frustrating. Shaun has really stepped up though and it's been really helpful. And Kelly became my personal shopper, and that helps a lot, too. I have a feeling that this kid's not going to stay in there all the way until her due date. I just hope something doesn't happen to make her come too soon, you know? I want her to have a good chance, obviously.
And yeah, I have no idea what I'm going to make. I feel the same way you do: I want to make something they'd really like, but I'm not sure what that something is.
