prophets

I put this video up on Sunday because I was trying to get it to a website I could save the video from, but it didn't work. Kelly asked me about it though, and I figured it's a good video that people should see, so why not share it with people? So, here it is. This video is a video of the testimonies of the Latter-day prophets... from Joseph Smith down to Thomas S. Monson. I think one of my favorite parts is actually hearing Wilford Woodruff. He recorded it in 1897...over 100 years ago... and I heard him. I don't know why, but I think that's really cool.

do you hear what i hear?

i want to start listening to christmas music. maybe i shall... anywho, here's another video of caleb talking. there are a few more words he's learned since the last video. anywho, this is it:
this is shaun trying to get him to talk. after a while, he decided to just get caleb to laugh instead:

and here's a video of caleb's new habit:

if i ever get around to it, i'll cut down a video i took the other day of caleb and shaun playing together. it's pretty entertaining, but there are moments of boring-ness.

Verily, verily, he sayeth unto you...

Here's a video of Caleb and some of the words he can say. He's added "please" and "hi" to his vocabulary since this video. I can't remember if there are any other new words. Anywho, have a wonderful time watching!

wanna win something?

My cousin is doing this for me, so now I am going to pass on my good fortune...or something like that.

Here are the tagging instructions: The first 3 people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll probably take a while because: a. I'm not super creative and it'll probably take me a while to think of something to make; b. I'm taking care of a 14-month-old while I'm on bed rest, so I don't see a lot of productivity until the bed rest is lifted; and c. I'm going to be having another baby in March (although the 4 people who read this blog know that) and I may not have time/energy until she's a month or 2 old. So, is it too long of a time frame if I say I'll have it made by May? Hopefully it won't take that long, but just in case...that's what I'm saying.
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on good couponing strategies. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something unusual.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. OR, since I know there are some people who read my blog who don't have a blog of their own, you can win if you are willing to make something for three random people. The first 3 people to leave a comment telling me they will win it forward get a fabulous homemade gift by me! Oh, and if you have a blog, be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it.

Hokay

We went to the thrift store a few weeks ago and got this shirt for 50 cents. He's worn it every Sunday since, and he'll continue to do so until it is too small. We've got to get our 50 cents out of it. I love this picture. Those sunflowers are in our garden. They're 8 or so feet tall. Shaun and I thought that was pretty tall; we decided to look up the world record......23 feet. We weren't even close. Oh well. I don't think we would've tried to submit them or anything if 8 feet was the record. Anywho, I'm not really sure what else to talk about, so I guess I'll leave it at this for now. Yay for saying something, at least!

What am I doing?

So, I'm bored. Usually when I'm bored, I'll go to different blogs I like. I've already done that a bunch today. There's nothing new to read about my family and friends now. I could do laundry...fold the stuff I washed days ago...I just don't feel motivated. I could do dishes...I just did them yesterday. How do dishes get dirty so quickly? If only we had a dishwasher...Well, we do. I'm the dishwasher.
Anywho, so I don't feel like being productive. What else is new?
People have been telling me for a while that I should start a blog and my response is always "What would I talk about?" That's why I never started one...until now. I'm still not sure why I'm even starting one. It'll probably be like my sister's blog, which is only updated every few months with something totally random. I probably wouldn't be as good as my cousin, who seems to post almost every day. It'll probably turn into one of those "oh, look at my cute kid" blogs, since he's pretty much what my life revolves around.
So...yeah. I'm starting a blog. We'll see how this goes. Hopefully I can figure all this blog stuff out. My sister may have to come over and give me a tutorial or something.
So, who's ready for a bloggy little adventure?
Here goes...
