Hokay

We went to the thrift store a few weeks ago and got this shirt for 50 cents. He's worn it every Sunday since, and he'll continue to do so until it is too small. We've got to get our 50 cents out of it. I love this picture. Those sunflowers are in our garden. They're 8 or so feet tall. Shaun and I thought that was pretty tall; we decided to look up the world record......23 feet. We weren't even close. Oh well. I don't think we would've tried to submit them or anything if 8 feet was the record. Anywho, I'm not really sure what else to talk about, so I guess I'll leave it at this for now. Yay for saying something, at least!

  1. was that me that said cuteness? I can't remember... I honestly had more to say than that but it is possible I just decided to say cuteness since it was so late/early in the morning. Hm. Anywho. I wish DI had clothes that cheap! They've raised their prices a few times in the last several years. Lame. I guess it's for a good cause, but still. Also, we have a sunflower, too! Just one, though, it's a volunteer. I should measure it. It's pretty dang tall. And yes, your son is full of cuteness.

  2. i'm assuming that was you, since you and kelly are the only ones i know of who read this. yeah, di is nice to donate to, i guess, but you can't find stuff as cheap there. this place is cool cuz all the stuff has different colored tags on them, and each week they have a color on sale for 25% off, one for 50% off, and another for 75% off. they rotate which colors are on sale every tuesday when they put new stuff out. it's awesome. i wish it was a bit closer to my house, but maybe it's actually a good thing that it's a little far. but yes...measure your sunflower. i'm curious. and i'm glad you think caleb is full of cuteness. it validates my feelings toward him. (not that they really need validation, though.)

  3. Yeah you're probably right, even though I didn't remember, it was probably me. Maybe I did it in my sleep? I'm just thinking of our semi-conversation on my other blog, prolly. Next time I visit you we should go to that thrift store. Oh and don't let me forget to make you those cupcakes next time we see each other. What are the chances I'd be able to make them at the reunion? What are the chances you guys could come visit us in Utah? You can sleep in our house! =) And also, you should blog again, and put more pictures of Caleb. I still can't believe he's walking around. It's crazy to me. Probably because I don't see him, like, ever.

  4. ha...maybe. yes...next time you're around, we shall go to that thrift store. it's pretty sweet. that would be cool if you guys could have time to hang out after or before the reunion (not that we know exactly where it will be yet). then maybe you could make those cupcakes. yum. chances of us coming to utah? oy...probably pretty slim. maybe if shannon gets married sometime and has the wedding out there.... that's the only thing i can think of that would get us out there. so, tell her to get crackin', i guess. i should blog again, although i don't know what to say. i need to put pictures up on facebook, too. maybe i'll do that, since i don't need to say things for that.

  5. I didn't know you had a blog! Very cool. And Caleb is so stinkin cute! He has a very contagious smile. I love that little outfit. Can't believe you spent $.50 on the shirt. Super cool. I'll need to check out that thrift store someday too. Is it in Sac?

  6. Yeah, as you can see, I don't post very often. And thanks for thinking my kid is cute. ha. Yeah, the store is called EcoThrift. The big one is on Greenback, but there's a smaller branch on Fruitridge. You should check it out next time you're in town. It's pretty sweet.
